Walking on water.

I haven't been necessarily practicing to walk on water like Janine Antoni (photo above, Touch, 2002). Yet I indeed have been walking in the water, rather religiously, to strengthen my back. While other swimmers strive their ways back and forth with splashes of water, I walk - slowly - as if I am learning to walk a g a i n. And that's how I've been feeling. I am learning to firmly walk without an institutional frame called schooling, in which I've been conditioned to perform well. Recently, I wrestle with time, a new puppy, void statements, confidence, images, directions, nightmares, lines, structures... and it's been s l o w, I tell ya, you know what I mean?
Do you think a miracle may happen... something like... walking on water?!

A newly found, favorite artist - Ceal Floyer.

Her works are concise, minimal, spatial, and elegant. I like that, especially those stairs (below). I believe there is something surreal and beautiful on the other side.
